This project recontextualises Theuerdank Fraktur, a typeface with a complex historical legacy, from Medieval books to Nazi Germany. Designed as a fold-out booklet, the specimen explores the typeface’s origins and evolution while inviting engagement through layered storytelling. Unfolding to reveal a bold poster reading “Fuck Fascism, Fraktur Forever,” the design asserts a reclamation of the typeface beyond its historical misuse. The double-sided format highlights its versatility, from body text to striking display typography, reinforcing its enduring relevance.
